Asleep with Make-up and iCrack!
When I got out of bed this morning I actually heard a number of my bones crack. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that for the first time in my entire life I fell asleep with my makeup on. I kid you not-first time in all the years I've been wearing makeup that I actually slept in my bed, with make up on my face.Sleeping sans makeup is a cardinal rule of mine-much like never picking your nose, or a wedgie in public. It all began when Evan wouldn't or couldn't fall asleep last night. So I happily brought him into my bed to snuggle. Snuggling in bed with Evan is not something that I do often because he's just not that into it. He loves to snuggle on the couch-but in bed-not so much. I think its because he is accustomed to going to sleep in his bed and doesn't associate my bed with slumber.I got myself curled around him and as my nose nuzzled the nape of his neck (a surefire way to put this gal in Mommy heaven). I assume he and I were both asleep within minutes because the last thing I remember with any clarity is the sound of the ironing board squeaking as the hubs ironed his dress blues. After that I vaguely remember my husband asking me if I wanted to "keep Evan in bed with us or to put him in his crib." I remember saying crib-and vaguely thinking that I still had mascara on, but for-the-life-of-me can't understand how I managed not to care about mascara smears on my white pillowcases.I woke up this morning to a face that could rival Courtney Love's any day of the week! Plus-I still had my contacts in.That sums up my night and morning. Makeup and cracking bones-is this a sign of aging-early symptoms of senility perhaps?
