Cassandra Clare’s City of Bones — Mortal Instruments– Book Review

I just finished reading the first book in Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instrument's Triology called City of Bones. I really enjoyed it, check out my vlog for my thoughts on this novel.(For some strange reason in this video I sound like I have a lisp. No I wasn't wearing my retainer - but maybe I should be!)This weekend you can meet this amazing author in NYC.

August 20, 2009 3:14p.m. I just finished reading City of Ashes and I enjoyed it more.... I'll post more thoughts later...City of Ashes continues Cassandra Clare's amazing world full of super-hero humans, and mythical beings that made me wonder, what if? While reading I also found the writer in me studying her writing techniques. I'm paying extra attention to things like this, wondering why she chose her words, all in the attempt to improve my craft. I think she's an amazing writer, her style I hope is similar to my own, yet after reading this I feel like I want to go back to my work and re-write everything. As a reader I absolutely enjoyed this tale, and can't wait to get my hands on City of Glass. September 4, 2009 10:26 a.m. I stayed up till about 1:30 this morning finishing up City of Glass. I have to say that I was not disappointed and that my guess from early on was right...I'm not going to say exactly what my guess was for fear that I'd give to much of the storyline away. However, Ms. Clare gave her readers the perfect amount of hints and insight.  The Mortal Instruments Series did not disappoint. I can't wait to read more of Cassandra Clare's work.
