Play-time Fun with Moon Dough

DIY

When Moon Dough first came out a few years ago I quickly scooped up a box and although it was a lot of fun the product left much to be desired. For one thing it was very messy and the dough didn't stick all that well when it was used in the molds the product often came with.

I recently got the opportunity to sit down with my little guy and try a new and improved moon dough with a brand new formula and was rather pleased with the product. I was so pleased in fact, that I went out and purchased a box as a birthday gift for one of my husband's little cousins.

Evan and I had a lot of fun testing out the Moon Dough Push N' Pop Ocean Pals set and what I liked about it is that it came with a little play mat with an ocean scene on it and a place to set the molds in. The product definitely doesn't dry out as I left this outside over night on a table underneath a covered porch and regardless of how humid it may be here in Miami it is hot and my son was able to resume his play the next day with out any noticeable differences to the product.

What I wasn't to thrilled about was the fact that this set didn't come with any container to put the moon dough in when you're done playing with it. The dough comes in a plastic zip lock type of baggie but I would much prefer there to be some sort of plastic container like play dough comes in to store the stuff.

For the $9.99 suggested retail it's a good buy for fun craft-time play and does make a nice gift.
