Kitchen Chair Makeover!
Check out these chairs from our old dining table, they didn't quite go with this new table I picked up last November for a steel at Ikea. Its their round table that transforms into an oval shape from their Bjursta line. The chairs were a maple color prior to the painting and I'm very pleased with the result.I used an antique black paint that my neighbor had left over from a project she'd done. I had never used this brand of paint before but I really liked it. It is by Olde Century Colors, the shade is Lamp Black. Even though the table is technically a brown/black color, the difference in shades is minimal, and I like that there is a difference. The green folding chairs require a few more coats, but I used Krylon spray paint in Ivy Leaf but ran out of the paint, and haven't had a chance to get some more. I really like this spray paint, because it goes where you put it and the rotating nozzle makes for a very easy hassle free application.I'm now on the hunt for shelves, I want them to be mismatched but I plan on painting them all the same color especially if I were to add a bit of molding to them to tie them all together. If you can't tell, I've got this picture in my mind's eye...getting to see them in reality might be a tad harder, but I won't give up.I'm not 100% crazy with these chairs, I think I would like to have a bunch of miss matched chairs here too, but for now, this will certainly do!A yard sale'g & thrifting I go!
