Writer’s Block?
I think I'm suffering from writers block.
When ever I sit down to get what's on my mind typed in a logical manner so that it is in some form that is understandable (is that a word?) to the general public I am blocked.
Blocked by the telephone.
Blocked by the baby who while sitting next to me on my bed slaps the keyboard of my laptop hitting the number pad, or more specifically the enter key which makes everything go bizzaro (yes, I know that's not a real word, but I like the way it sounds).
Blocked by my son who just can't wipe his own butt yet. He's almost five years old. I'm tired of wiping his arse! Yet if I let him do it himself, he doesn't get it all, and we all know what happens when shit happens.
Blocked by the television.
Blocked by FaceBook.
Blocked by the books I'm reading.
Blocked, Blocked, Blocked.
Blocked by my own brain, which makes me feel scared shit list that what I will write (not here on this blog by the way- but in my own personal project) will suck BIG TIME!
Blocked by the headache that's forming above my right eye.
Blocked. Blocked. Blocked.
I am suffering from writers block. I have a story that is in my head, but it doesn't want to come out. Or if I'm to be perfectly honest, I'm making up stupid, dumb ass excuses like being "blocked" when in fact, as I mentioned before I'm just afraid.
So, any ideas on how not to be afraid to attempt something you know you can do, but somehow, don't have the confidence to do it... just yet.
I'm fond of the saying "Fake it until you make it." Perhaps I should take my own advice.
I think I will.
